Happy Anniversary BCAC!

September 25th marks the 19th anniversary of our articles of incorporation that established BCAC as an independent not for profit 501c3 corporation. Prior to today, BCAC had run as a small grant funded pilot program. Sensing its success and the void that it filled, BCAC became its own agency on this date in 1989.

Since its incorporation, BCAC has served over 18,000 children and families in its quest to make the lives and experiences had by those who have been victims of sexual child abuse better and to eradicate sexual child abuse for generations to come.

Many thanks are in order on a day such as today that are too numerous to include here – countless police officers, social workers, prosecutors, foundations, individual donors and volunteers helped make this dream a reality. Most of all to the staff of BCAC who tirelessly works to find out what happened and to begin the road of repair – thank you. You are the heroes of today that makes this all worthwhile.

To all of you, we are deeply indebted to you.

BCAC continues its fight and proudly watches its mission grow to areas of treatment, prevention, and most importantly improved service delivery to its clients – the children of Baltimore City.

Our work isn’t done. We look forward to continuing to work together for many years to come.
