Every day, volunteers make a difference in the lives of children and families at Baltimore Child Abuse Center. This support is invaluable and increases our capacity to serve those in need. Staff and volunteers working together create a safe and supporting environment in which these families can cope with the trauma of abuse.
Volunteers spread our message as ambassadors, contribute to fundraising by serving on committees and at special events, and help behind the scenes by doing administrative tasks.
Baltimore Child Abuse Center values our many different types of volunteers not only for the services they provide, but also for the links they provide to other individuals and groups in the community. When volunteers choose to donate their time at BCAC, they bring new perspectives to the center and broaden our reach by bringing in new supporters.

Board of Directors
BCAC's Board of Directors is comprised of volunteers representing various sectors of the community and is responsible for providing oversight, direction, and governance for the agency as a whole and within each division. The Board is also responsible for supporting the fundraising goals of the agency through personal contribution and assistance in identification, cultivation, and solicitation of prospective donors. Membership is a selective process requiring a full board vote. The Board of Directors meets four to six times per year and sub-committees meet as needed.
