Job Title: Executive Assistant
Position Summary: The Special Assistant plays a critical role in the Baltimore Child Abuse Center success by providing daily management and assistance for the Executive Director’s strategic plan and vision in a well-organized and timely manner. This position is located on North Charles Street (free parking). The Special Assistant often is the first point of contact between the Executive Team and external parties such as the Board of Directors, foundations, donors, politicians, media, stakeholders, and other leaders. The Special Assistant must be engaging, have excellent communication skills and work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of discretion and sensitivity. The person in this position must manage tasks assigned with a balance of independence and leadership and when necessary properly direct and navigate people to the appropriate departments within BCAC. The Special Assistant will manage the Board of Directors and other short term projects as assigned. The person in this position may also assist in family advocacy, training, development, or other administrative duties as needed. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
Requirements: Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field. Experience of 3-5 years.
