Every day, volunteers make a difference in the lives of children and families at Baltimore Child Abuse Center (BCAC). This support is invaluable and increases our capacity to serve those in need. Volunteers spread our message as ambassadors, contribute to fundraising by serving on planning committees and at special events, and help behind the scenes with administrative tasks.
If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out this form and mail or email it to us.
Child Care: Spend time working and playing with children in our family room as they wait for forensic interviews, medical visits, and mental health visits.
Administrative and Outreach: Assist staff at community fairs and events and help put together bulk mailings.
Evening Front Desk Coordinator: Greet clients and visitors, answer calls; be the first person visitors to BCAC see upon their arrival.
Operation Resource Room Manager: Manage the inventory and assist in the day-to-day operations of the Operation Resource Room, which is where clothing, hygiene products, school supplies and toy donations are stored.
Parent Support Groups: Assist with child care during the evening parent support groups; activities include arts and crafts, dinner, and games.
Events: Provide check-in help at our Be A Hero gala.
Legislative Advocacy: Write and call your state senators and representatives and tell them why the bills BCAC supports are important for kids in Maryland. We also need volunteers to help out at our annual Advocacy Day in Annapolis, which will be Tuesday, March 12, 2019.
